I have added a background (no more void), switched controls to all clicking and dragging (as opposed to the awkward key system from before), and most excitingly, got Virtual Tarot working in the browser! To get it working in browser, I used the LÖVE Web Builder by Bernhard Schelling. Unfortunately it is not working for mobile browsers at the moment.
